One of the best things about working from home is having my dog Jamie with me in the studio. When he gets tired of snoozing on the sectional or looking out the window he makes his way downstairs to the lower level and checks out what I am up to. He climbs on his studio bed and begins his job.
I think his job is watching me like a hawk. Sometimes he works on his projects, destroying a new toy or gnawing a bone, while keeping one black eye on me. He seems to think this is quite important. You never know when I might make a fast break for the laundry room, upstairs for coffee, or out the door to get the mail and I must be escorted at all times!
If I sit down to take a rest, Jamie hops up on the studio couch and into my lap to keep a really close eye on me. When I am in the studio Jamie must be in on everything. But when its time to make dinner we both go upstairs. He goes back to his window and I get on with my chores. We are done with our work for the day.
