About My WorkI am a painter inspired by what is around me, the mess in my kitchen, how the light hits the couch, and what or who I am worried about today. Sometimes it's a song I heard or something I read. I make paintings searching for connection and meaning in what I experience and remember. Over time my work has become less representational and more focused on emotion. I work fast and loose, experimenting and trying to catch the thread of what I am feeling so I can turn it over and really look at it, and hopefully save it, like a treasured souvenir.
