These paintings  on canvas and panel are inspired by my environment and internal landscape. By documenting these personal and universal experiences I am able to keep, explore and mull over an emotion, a bit of light or an event. I paint to remember, process and memorialize, to keep a visual diary.
THE ACCUMULATION OF DAYS This piece was inspired by accumulation and repetition during the 2020 pandemic. 48x48x1.5 $1350
GOING GRAY This painting is about my decision to stop coloring my hair at 51. Using abstract floral forms, I tell the story of becoming gray and accepting the idea of being instantly old. Instead of becoming invisible I find that I am free. 48x30x1 1,370
TROPICAL This piece is inspired by a deconstructed floral paradise. 24x24x1.5 $750
PARADISE This piece is inspired by the fantasy flowers of a lush floral paradise. 24x24x1.5 $750
STORMY This piece is inspired by our attraction to dark and difficult energy in relationships. 36x24x1.5 $900
TURN THE BEAT AROUND This piece was inspired by the impact an optimistic mind state has on our reality. 48x36x1.5 $1570
ABSOLUTION Acrylic I love to experiment and a big part of my process is about giving myself permission to play. I use play in two fundamental ways: play as in testing techniques, materials, and methods and play as in just seeing where the paint takes me. These paintings explore the gap between how you appear and who you are. They are about acceptance, ageing and letting go. Leaving behind my comfortable process and materials and stripping away my familiar palette and brushwork, I have examined what is left when a façade is lifted. The process has been a washing away of conventions and of seeing the fragments and traces of what remains - a stark and complex look at the imperfection of self. Each piece is made with acrylic ink on paper mounted on birch panels and coated with cold wax.

This collection is primarily available as prints. There are a few remaining originals - acrylic on paper mounted on cradled panel with cold wax varnish. 20x30, $500. Please contact me for information.
