Studio Montclair presents “Inspired by… Quilts,” on view from September 5 through October 19, 2019, Studio Montclair Gallery, 127 Bloomfield Avenue, Montclair, NJ. An opening reception - September 6 from 7 to 9pm.
The keeping and sharing of family history has taken many forms, such as stories, songs, carefully notated family photos, memory boxes, scrap books and quilts. This painting is about the memory collections of today where social media and the frenetic pace of women’s lives become part of the process as they try to organize and keep the history of their families.
